I heard somewhere if we mock, or poke fun at what scares us, we lessen it’s power over us.

A crackpot ‘somehow’ managed to get into a position of power, and (I guess) there’s no legitimate legal means to get him out, so we’re only left with comedic barbs to hurl?

Comedy may only just sooth this ridiculous thorn in our collective side …and maybe also lessen the idea of how deeply ‘the thorn’ is cutting – but is that a good thing, or a bad thing?

“The best way to drive out the devil, …is to jeer and flout him, for he cannot bear scorn.”
